Learner Driver Resources

highwaycode150Apart from taking expert lessons from a friendly, well-trained and experienced driving instructor, one of the best ways to improve your driving skills is through the use of learning resources – such as books, DVDs, and other educational software.

We can provide you with the full range of official DVSA books and DVDs to supplement the skills you are learning during your lessons. These official publications are produced by the same people who design the tests, so they really are the best way to make sure you are test-ready.

As you can imagine, these books and DVDs change regularly to keep up with changes in test formats, as well as changes in the road traffic law – for instance the drink driving limit may change, or the style of the hazard perception test videos may change. For this reason we make sure to only supply the very latest versions of these resources, in order to make sure your skills and knowledge are up to date.

trafficsigns150From time to time the names of these resources may change, but your instructor will be able to advise you on the best resources to boost learning depending on your individual circumstances at the time.

In general, some of the best and most popular resources are:

  • Learning the Highway Code
  • Know your Traffic Signs
  • The Official DVSA Theory Test for Car Drivers
  • The Official DVSA Guide to Hazard Perception
  • The Official DVSA Guide to Driving – The Essential Skills

If in doubt please discuss this with your instructor – he or she will be able to recommend the most appropriate books or DVDs to help you, and to give you the best chance of passing your practical or theory test first time.

You can order any of these titles at any time by calling Robert on 07447 928 225, or by emailing us via the contact form on the website.
