Dual Control Car Hire

adi-trainingWelcome to our new and exclusive Dual Control car hire service – now available throughout the West End and across Glasgow – please contact Robert on 07447 928 225 for more information and to make a booking.

Not only do we offer a wide range of driving lessons and intensive driving courses – we now offer an exclusive dual control car hire service for our learner drivers to practise between lessons with your driving instructor.

Why Dual Control Car Hire?

Hiring a car fitted with dual manual controls is an ideal opportunity to get private practice with a family member or friend, and allows you to gain that little bit more experience to improve those skills that you find require more practice.

Many of our pupils say that hiring a Dual Control Car and going out on the roads under the supervision of a qualified driver is one of the best ways to practise what you have learned between lessons.

Unlike other dual control car hire companies, our cars come complete with the Highway Code, Know your Traffic Signs and our own exclusive training manual – that our instructors use with pupils during lessons. Because of this you can maintain the way you are being taught by both your instructor or accompanying driver.

You can also take advantage of one of our fully qualified driving instructors – to answer any questions that you may have regarding teaching methods, driving skills and techniques for performing manoeuvres safely and in compliance with DVLA guidelines.

Is there a minimum age requirement to hire a dual control car?
The person who hires the dual control car must be at least 17 years old, hold a valid and clean (no penalty points) provisional license. While in control of the vehicle, the learner driver must always be accompanied by a qualified driver who is at least 23 years old.

In order for us to verify your licence details, BOTH the accompanying driver and the learner driver must provide a licence ‘check code’ – you can do this through the gov.uk website here:

This government website will ask for your driving licence number, your National Insurance number, and the postcode you registered for your driving licence. You will then be given a ‘check code’, which allows us to verify your licence details.
