As one of Glasgow’s largest and longest-established driving schools we can cover the whole Greater Glasgow area, as well as some of the surrounding commuter towns. We have a large number of instructors, and can provide female instructors if required.
All of our instructors have a great level of local knowledge and can pass on tips about the specific areas you will be learning and practicing your skills in, as well as the areas that you may drive through during your test – regardless of which of the Glasgow test centres you use.

Speed Limits in Glasgow
When driving around Glasgow you will come across a number of different speed limits, depending on whether you are driving on standard roads, dual carriageways, “Twenty’s Plenty” residential areas, and so on – so you should always be aware of the particular speed limits for the road you are on.
Glasgow has a great number of schools spread throughout the area, so you may frequently encounter speed restrictions next to schools during the times that pupils enter or leave the school. These signs are marked in such a way that a speed limit of 20mph is imposed while the lights are flashing, so always watch out for these signs. Also, there are often parking restrictions beside schools to make it easier for drivers to see children who might run out onto the road without looking.
There are many different speed cameras and red light cameras spread throughout the Greater Glasgow area. Although these should all be clearly marked, especially if you are just learning to drive it can be difficult to take everything in at once, particularly if driving conditions are challenging, so it can be useful to familiarise yourself with such hotspots.
